Unabridged Audiobook
Father and I Were Ranchers is the fabulous autobiographical story of Ralph Moody's early years in Colorado. His father Charles was a wise man who taught Ralph many of the lessons he held onto through his life. I grew up in Littleton, and when younger would go to the "Little Britches" rodeo. Ralph house in Littleton was half a mile from mine, and we would pass it going to Stern Park. I also lived in Morrison for five years, and every place mentioned in the book brought back memories. I highly recommend this book to all ages, it is not just a book for young boys.
I'm glad I read this autobiography. I feel I was welcomed into the Moody family as Father and the men taught Ralph not only how to ranch but how to be a good person. I'd recommend this book to anyone who loves history, horses, and the importance of community.
Excellent book for everyone, but my 12 year old son loved it best. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
A must read for junior high students. What a great depiction of a Father and son relationship.
