Summary
HBO’s hit series A GAME OF THRONES is based on George R. R. Martin’s internationally bestselling series A SONG OF ICE AND FIRE, the greatest fantasy epic of the modern age. A FEAST FOR CROWS is the fourth volume in the series.

The Lannisters are in power on the Iron Throne.

The war in the Seven Kingdoms has burned itself out, but in its bitter aftermath new conflicts spark to life. The Martells of Dorne and the Starks of Winterfell seek vengeance for their dead. Euron Crow’s Eye, as black a pirate as ever raised a sail, returns from the smoking ruins of Valyria to claim the Iron Isles.

From the icy north, where Others threaten the Wall, apprentice Maester Samwell Tarly brings a mysterious babe in arms to the Citadel. As plots, intrigue and battle threaten to engulf Westeros, victory will go to the men and women possessed of the coldest steel and the coldest hearts.

I have listened to all the books in the series. Whilst the books are fine the narration is all over the place. Characters change accents within individual books and totally change from book to book . In the first Novel of the series Tyrion starts off sounding like Alan Bennett and ends up sounding like Phil Bennett ( welsh fly half from the 70's - have a listen then you'll understand ). Little Finger , Arya and Daenerys ( all major characters ) all undergo weird transformations in the last two books which really takes the listener out of the story. This might be understandable if there was a different narrator for each book but there isn't . Very Poor and ruins the enjoyment .

A big fan of the series, but this is sadly not my favourite. Too many additional characters and plots being added, diluting the story and distracting from the plot and flow of the previous books. Also, I can’t understand why this far into the series the narrator has changed the pronunciation of characters names?!

Slow burn with A lot of trivia.

Roy Dotrice sucks, he makes every character sound 90years old. He exaggerates inexistent accents and spoils the books. He completely changes the pronunciation of names even in the same chapter. Some chapters were so unbearable to listen too that I almost quit listening.

The best book of them all! We left the old heroes and characters for a new POVs new places and events. Shed the light on some new plots and struggles! Roy was phenomenally superb impersonating all the new characters and voices with a unique performance!
