Unabridged Audiobook
A thoughtful and engaging novel about politics, social reform, class and love in nineteenth-century England. I enjoyed Felix Holt’s strong principles and his determination to stand up against corruption, as well as Esther’s development from a sheltered young woman into someone capable of making her own difficult choices. The election riot, the secrets surrounding Esther’s inheritance and the complicated Transome family added plenty of drama.
