I love a good spy and special forces thriller but this one was very unrealistic in the armed conflicts (one person against 10 well armed assailants) and he always comes out with barely a scratch. Also the personal fight scenes happened way too often and so detailed I had to skip forward to keep from nodding off. Needs to be more realistic for my taste—even Jack Reacher wouldn’t take on those odds.

Meh. The general storyline is pretty good. However, the dialogue is awful. No one talks to each other like that. The backstory of the characters and the relationship between them reminded me of a made for TV movie from the 1980s. The narrator wasn't my favorite, but it may have been due to the material he had to work with. All in all, I finished it and was entertained. I won't be listening to anymore books in this series, though.

A surprise win. It was a VIP book choice and now I’ll try more by this author.

Way too detailed about weapons, shallow and cliche portraits of people. Stereotypically ending up with church, family, heroic male and super supporting woman.

This was her other free book that I really enjoyed. I liked the way the storyline unfolded and I have yet again discovered a new author that I would neveroterwais.

Solid action thriller. It was the first book in a while that I could not stop listening to. It took me through so many emotions. 10/10 would recommend.
