Unabridged Audiobook
I'm looking for more from this author and narator
Story was just mediocre but the narration made it almost intolerable. The AI getting the inflection wrong about a quarter of the time combined with the loud chirps (like a record skipping) when the AI glitched out left me waiting for the next outburst rather than paying attention to the story itself. $14 wasted except for gaining the knowledge to avoid any AI narrated books in the future.
the story line is great but the synthesized voice was gliching and making weird noises. It kinda creeped me out ngl. and it kinda takes me a while to finish audio books. I've been listening a little bit each day. Good book tho!
I enjoyed the twist and turns of the story. It kept me wanting to reading it.
The narration was distractingly glitchy with awkward enunciation, strange pauses and mispronounced words. This was my first experience with a synthesized narrator and I am absolutely NOT a fan. The storyline was slow and boring.
I plan on reading more from this author.
The book was ok, but the narrative was awful. I think I would have liked it more if I had read the book versus listened.
Excellent twists
I'm not a big fan of the synthesized voices. They lack the emotional aspect but at least it was a nice voice. Besides that it was a good captivating book overall.
Can't finish it. There is a goat like sound every few minutes! Fix the recording maybe?
The narrator should iron out the issues The book is very interesting to me
The AI narrator mispronounced numerous words. There was also strange noises in the background of the narration at intervals. Very distracting.
loved this great book
If you’re going to narrate a book take the time to learn how to say Latino names. The narrator butchered the name, Javier and pronounced it as Haveer. I tried listening to this book 5 different times and quit listening to it because of the narrator. If this is an AI narrator, then get a better system.
really enjoyed the characters. she really makes it feel like you are there
Brilliant!
good listen
I loved this book. I started our today third morning and finished it today. I couldn't put it down. it just pulled me in. The narrator was very good also at reading this story which helped pull me in. I definitely recommend and might have to listen to it again sometime.
The premise is not new but I actually found it a good read. the lead was not pathetic or annoying and I found the plot took you along at a great pace. fun and entertaining story. narrator is a quite poor synthesised voice which will never replace the good human narrators. results in mispronounced words, sound quality errors and a monotonous voice. but I suppose they are cheaper than humans
pretty much a worn theme but entertaining. Narration was good.
I may have liked this book more if it hadn't been for the narrator. I couldn't get over the monotone voice and strange mispronunciations of common words. The file also seemed to be corrupted and there was this strange skipping sound every couple of minutes that was very distracting. I didn't find the characters to be very relatable and the story was kind of boring considering it's about a serial killer who preys on your deepest fears. I will not be listening to the next book.
Very poor recording. So bad that I feel someone made a mistake when allowing this as an option to listen to.
