From the New York Times bestselling romance author of Bonfire & Bliss Bookstore comes a forced proximity forbidden romance between a young single mom and her brother's off-limits former pro-hockey player best friend—with a town auction twist.

Forbidden love is in bloom...

Everyone thinks they know Billie Walker. Single mom, little sister, aspiring event planner, maybe even bartender. But she barely knows herself. The one thing she's definitely not? Dating her brother's best friend: former hockey player and town playboy Eli Davis.

Until she gets roped into bidding on him at Hope Harbor’s dating auction. Now the Liberty Ladies— the town busy bodies with hearts of gold—have five dates to convince Billie that Eli is the man for her.

Raised by a single mom, Eli knows Billie needs help more than romance. So rather than working to sweep her off her feet, he makes it his mission to help Billie discover herself, outside of being a mom and sister.

As intertwined fingers at the Daffodil Festival turns into sweet kisses by the light of the fireflies, Billie begins to fall for Eli. But can a secret relationship ever blossom into forever?
