Unabridged Audiobook
I love this book, as a first generation immigrant who came to this country as an infant, this story resonates with me so deeply.
She put in words so many of my feeling and experiences while growing up. Hearing those things that are never talked about but just understood by those who also lived it. The fear of being undone with a single lance, by people in spaces that weren't meant for you. I'm glad she recorded the audio herself, as you can heal and feel the raw emotion that these memories evoke.
Love it, if you’re white without an open mind or heart you may want to hold off. As the book shares its intended for BIWOC folks and shares the intersecting experiences of navigating this Country (USA), systemic racism, and white supremacy. As a Native American women this book resonated with me in more ways than one and I finished it in under a week!
