Unabridged Audiobook
I didn’t go in with big expectations as the lives of musicians aren’t really something I like to have “knowledge” about. But, Randy Travis was the first concert I attended, in Biloxi, Mississippi. I’ve always kept up with his career, just not “his life.” And the details he did give in this book. This book is what I call a “little nugget book.” Grab a little glass of drink for the body’s sake and enjoy. The next time you’re at a gathering and run out of things to talk about, or you want to change the topic, Randy’s a great topic. Randy, if you happen to read this. The first time I heard you say “Amen” after your stroke, I cried. I cried because they dropped the ball on you. I cried because we lost your voice. I cried because I know full well what you were going through. My Nanny had a stroke. I pray the good Lord Jesus Christ provides you and your loved ones comfort and peace all the days of your life. “Amen “
Randy's story is so rich with tales of how he failed before succeeding, how he dealt with challenges and problems, overcoming some and constantly battling others, and how he even cheated death when it seemed hopeless. He gave some great insights into the music business and the people involved. He has a way of sharing his deepest emotions that made this book so enjoyable to hear. I highly recommend it!
