Unabridged Audiobook
What a great book! I Never owned any CCR records when I was growing up (born in 1960) but I remember the songs on the radio. I really appreciate John’s delivery style of reading and so does a co-worker who got the audio book on my recommendation. I really loved listening to the albums on Apple ITunes as they came up in the story. I didn’t want the book to end and at the same time couldn’t wait to get to the end. Thanks for sharing your story, John!
I literally could not get past the introduction. While I'm sure the story is fascinating, John Fogerty's stumbling narration is actually embarrassing. He reads the text like an elementary school school student forced to read a book report to his class. He stumbles, pauses, adds odd inflections and generally gives the impression that he's not actually familiar with the story in question. This might have been a good book if a professional had been hired to narrate it. I'm not sure how this mess happened. I actually found myself embarrassed for him.
