Unabridged Audiobook
The narrator, while good, sounded more like a 14 year old than a 20 year old. The book, while also good, made Violet more cowardly than I expected. It was jarring. Toward the end it seemed to straighten out with the characters and I very much enjoyed the ending!
I’ve already read the book and couldn’t get enough so decided to download the audio version. 10/10 loved the whole thing! Great job!
I love everything about the first and second books of Fourth Wing! This is my second time listening, and I can not wait for the GA of Iron Flames to come out in May! 10 out of 10!
If you loved book 1, you'll love book 2. Great narration!!
Excellent, it's always enjoyable to listen to a full cast graphic audio production with sound effects of a favorite book, really brings to life the fantasy genre, especially if they get the voices right. This is a great book, exciting and action packed with lots of great characters (the dragons are my favorite!). I already enjoyed the single narrator version, this full cast graphic audio version was very entertaining, like listening to an audio play of the book. Part 1 ended at a really intense part of the plot that makes you REALLY want to know what happens next, so I already bought Part 2 and i'm looking forward to diving in.
I love these books!
Love this book and wanted to get the graphic audiobook as soon as I finished reading it!! Wish both parts were released together. The music and sound effects were great—like listening to a movie! And the voice of Violet was PERFECT!! Unfortunately, the voice for Xaden missed the mark—instead of sounding strong, confident, and commanding respect, he often sounded obnoxious and immature—I really hope this changes for part 2 or they recast him for Iron Flame. Nothing against the actor, just not right for this particular role. I also felt as though the voice for Tairn could be deeper, wiser, and a litter more aged. I also think some of the names/words are definitely mispronounced if you are going for the authentic Gaelic pronunciation, but some of that is probably on Rebecca Yarros (hot topic, I know).
Loved the book, but to my surprise I preferred the physical book over the graphic audio. One of the voices sounded very AI, and several of the voice actors could have more enthusiasm. But I loved the book and story itself!
i think i’m in love with
Couldn’t stop listening!
Loved the book but cannot with this narrator. Wish I would have listened to the sample first.
One of my favorite books of all time!
I love it!!
I loved this book so much I have read the book and listened to this multiple times and it brings the book to life and makes you feel like you’re apart of the story.
loved it! kept me hooked from start to finish.
ABSOLUTELY LOVEDDDD
Love it
Quite interesting plot that keeps the reader intriguided throughout the whole story.
Loved it. I can ready anything that has consistent character development & doesn't betray a character they've built in the name of a "plot twist". That's not what a plot twist is, it's just lazy (yeah, I'm looking at you Hunger Games). Not here. Rebecca Y invests so much time in building her characters, the internal relationships & the tangential, that even if the story line was awful (it's not, it's amazing!), the characters can do the heavy lifting. It just got better with each book in the series.
The best narrator ever oh and the story is so good
very well done by the cast. My absolute favorite reads
Brilliantly done...edge of my seat and I already know what was coming...
great story of adventure and a dystopian culture. however, be prepared for some adult literature that is sexually explicit.
Loved
Loved it so much i purchased the second book as soon as i finished. Look it up, you won't regret it. Iron flame
First time reading a fantasy. Was not disappointed. Having only two books instead of a trilogy keeps the pace up. Great cast as well!
Great book, good picks for voice actors so far. Good narrator.
Great book , I love the voice of the narrator and it has a good plot twist towards the ending
I absolutely enjoyed part 1 and look forward to part 2
awesome reading. I think they did an amazing job
This was my first graphic audio book and I loved it! The story is great it has it all! The dragons, the action, the suspense, the secrets and the romance!
Very good book
Excellent book original story I could have done without so much profanity
I absolutely love this book. Graphic audios bring a better depth to the characters. Pulls you into the story line.
loved it! we need to have more to read!
The best!!!
So great!! As a mom of 2 boys sometimes listening to the books is all I can do. The narrator’s were amazing!!
Can’t wait for part 2!
First book I listen to on here and I'm glad I chose this series. I listened to this in the car with the windows down and truly felt like I was with Violet in the air. The sound effects were nice, though I wish it was a different narrator. She wasn't bad except I felt like the voice sounded young and lacked emphasis or emotion during the narration. aside from that though I enjoyed this audiobook.
The sound effects and different narrator's is not for me. It's like listening to TV without watching the screen. the annoying music is also over the top. I've listened to the books by a single narrator and wanted to listen to the story again but I'll give it a miss and rather read the books. With all the background noise and music it was very distracting for me.
Too much back ground noice and way too much profanity. I enamored by the story, on the second book now!
Love everything about this book. Graphic audio production did a GREAT JOB with sound effects of a favorite book, really brings to life the fantasy genre, especially all the different voices for the characters.
Listening to the audio helped me better understand what was happening. I love every play-by-play action they incorporated throughout the audio, which made it feel so realistic.
I completely fell in love with the dramatised audiobook. the narrators were perfectly matched to each character. Yarros has written an truly amazing fantasy-enemies to lovers with all the lure to it with the dragons and much more. i love the complexity of each character and how we see the value of true friendship and bonds being formed in such a tense environment
Great narration!
This was my first time listening to something like this and I thought it was excellent, highly recommend and they have done such a good job of sucking you into the emersiveness of the world and the drama with the voice actors was such good work. well done.
Graphic audios have been a life savor for me and the only audio versions I enjoy
I listened to the original audiobook of Fourth Wing and decided to listen to this one as well and OMG. I thought all the additional sounds would be distracting but it is so much better than the original I am mind blown. I can picture the story like a movie in my head. I loved this story before, but I love it even more now.
I loved it , maybe a wanted a more dark low voice for Xaden or Tairn , but enjoyed it a lot
One of the best books I’ve read in a long time! So much so that I’m reading it a second time in the space of 3 weeks and this time I’m listening to this audiobook as I read and it takes the book to a whole new depth! You feel as though you’re right there with violet! Such a great experience :)
action packed. suspenseful
Loved listening to this
Amazing!
I hope this books is made into a movie. Enjoyable listen!
Very engaging. Love a story that has depth of world building, without taking itself too seriously
A excellent book!
my first read in a long time and oh my!! I loved it!
Violets narrator was perfect but Xaden’s didn’t feel right at all. I’m struggling to continue listening. I’d even say Dain’s narrator would’ve been better for that part.
Absolutely in love this the main narrator (Violet) in this audiobook. I wish Xaden was voiced by a different person. Nothing against the voice actor, his voice just doesn’t fit the descriptions. Also Tairn is the biggest disappointment. His voice in no way matches the grumpy, sarcastic descriptions in the book. I hope this is something that can be remedied in future releases.
