A timeless Gothic masterpiece of creation, ambition, isolation, and consequence — presented in a pure, unabridged narration of Mary Shelley's original 1818 text.
Victor Frankenstein pursues the secrets of life and succeeds in creating a living being, only to recoil from what he has made. Abandoned by his creator and rejected by society, the Creature begins a desperate search for companionship, understanding, and belonging. What follows is a devastating pursuit across Europe and into the frozen Arctic, as creator and creation become locked in a cycle of grief, vengeance, and destruction.
Mary Shelley's Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus is far more than a Gothic tale of horror. It is a profound meditation on scientific ambition, responsibility, prejudice, loneliness, education, compassion, and the consequences of creation without care. Its nested narratives — from Walton's Arctic letters to Victor's confession and the Creature's own testimony — give the novel an unusual depth and psychological power.
This edition presents The complete unabridged text of Frankenstein, brought vividly to life through an immersive cinematic soundscape featuring original music, atmospheric ambience, and carefully designed audio effects.
