Summary
A novel brimming with nonstop action, quirky characters, sexy highjinks, and sharp humor

Welcome to Full Speed by Janet Evanovich and Charlotte Hughes. You'll fall in love with Jamie Swift and Max Holt, one dynamic duo who can't seem to escape trouble—and an irresistible attraction—as you follow them from one adventure to another.

Newspaper editor Jamie Swift likes a little predictability in her life. When she suddenly finds herself minus a fiancé and with a major case of the hots for her silent partner, millionaire Maximillian Holt, any bit of predictability goes right out the window. Max is like a tornado, turning her well-ordered world upside down. Now someone's unhappy with Max's recent business deal—dangerously unhappy. Before she knows it, Jamie's hotfooting across state lines to help Max and land a story. But Sweet Pea, Tennessee harbors some smelly secrets, many of which reside under the big tent of revivalist Harlan Rawlins, whose link to the Almighty rides shotgun with his Mob connections.

Posing as husband and wife, with computer genius Muffin and a mutt named Fleas along for the ride, Max and Jamie are in the middle of another crazy case, closer than ever to each other—and too close for comfort to the kind of people who will do anything to stop them.

Great!! Keep 'em coming Janet!! She's my favorite author. I love to read her books and then listen to them again. She's only 1 of 2 authors who make me laugh out loud.

Not as good as the first one, some stuff was pretty obvious to everyone but the characters in the book, but still well written and witty, will definitely keep on going with the series.

this book is exciting and well written and well read. I enjoyed the characters, especially Max and the computer. Jamie was hard to believe at times, but she obviously belongs to a sort of woman that is fearless in her quest of a 'good story'. i would read more books by these authors

Another good one by Janet Evanovich. Oh my god when are Jamie and Max going to get down to it. They are such a funny couple. I will definitly listen to the next one.

This book was mildly entertaining at best. The best characters in the book were Fleas and Muffin. It is just too much of the old theme of the strong, sexy, dominant male figure and the ditzy blonde. I prefer a much stronger and more self-assured female character than Jamie Swift. I haven't read any of the others and probably won't.

Fun to listen to, but no big surprises. Very light reading (listening!), and pretty corny, but fun anyway!

I liked ths book and narrator. It is an entertaining story that has you chuckling to yourself. I would recommend reading Full Tilt first just to get the whole story.

Like I expected, Full Speed did not disappointment. I continue to love Jamie Swift and Max Holt. Their chemistry is developing more in this book enough to make me want more. I love the way Janet includes story lines from previous books, providing just enough for understanding if you didn't read the prior books, but not too much so as to turn off the repeat serial reader. Great job, Janet....it keeps my interest, allows me to remember what happened before and I love it. I'm hooked on series writers. Keep 'em coming ladies!

I love Janet Evanovich but this book was such a disappointment. I hated the reader and it felt like I somehow missed the beginning of the story. I almost fell asleep driving, which has not been my experience with Evanovich. I usually can't wait to start my commute so I can find out what mess her characters will find themselves. Terribly disappointed.

I have been enjoying Evanovich immensly for some time now. I got this book, but my friend was supposed to read it first - and I haven't received it back yet. So I listened to it instead - and loved it.

Normally, I absolutely adore this author. This time, not so much! It passed the time in the car, but just barely.

This was one of the WORST books I've ever listened to! The reader was annoying, the writing was so cliche, I couldn't even stand it, and found myself groaning continually. Save yourself the trouble, pick another selection unless your annoyance factor is set to beyond what a normal person can stand.
