About this audiobook

When Brentworth MacTherm misses his flight to Belize to attend the funeral of his college best friend, he expects grief. What he gets is something far more Sterling Ravenbarrow.

Told through eulogies, whispered memories, and a very suspicious town car driver, this warm, witty, and surprisingly moving short story is about the kind of friendship that bends the rules of the ordinary — and the extraordinary lengths one man will go to start a new life without saying goodbye.

Full of humor, genuine tenderness, and a twist that feels both utterly absurd and completely inevitable, this story celebrates the rare souls who make life feel like an adventure worth showing up for. Perfect for listeners who want a short, complete, emotionally satisfying listen.
