I loved the story. The narrator was a bit too slow for me but I increased the playback speed and it was perfect.

Unusual story that was very interesting and well narrated.

I enjoyed learning about a part of wwII that I hadn't known much about. It was very interesting. The narrator did a great job with each of the characters.

Overall story was good. Felt a bit drawn out in parts, but kept coming back to find out what happens next. The narrator was excellent!

I really appreciate hearing what life was like for those who were “left behind” during WWII after the Jews were rounded up. It was a very sad story, but enlightening because I was unaware how horrible life was in France during the occupation. The book was excellently written, the narrator, very, very good. This is a book I will be reading again.

Very unusual WWII story about Norway’s invasion, SS breeding program, and modern day Berlin. I don’t know if it’s true but very believable. It’s amazing how propaganda can influence people. Well written. Narration was very well done. I definitely recommend this book.

I didn’t want to stop listening to the audio. I played it in my car, getting ready for work, chores. Excellent!
