I’ve read so many different historical fiction novels over the years regarding World War II. This one definitely had a new slant on the war and what happened. It was an amazing story and I enjoyed it very much.

I really enjoyed this book from the beginning to the end.

I loved the story. The narrator was a bit too slow for me but I increased the playback speed and it was perfect.

Excellent read, engaging narrator. Story of love and fierceness. If you are interested in history and delving into how choices of others and ourselves form decisions and lives this is a warm and very interesting read.

Very unusual WWII story about Norway’s invasion, SS breeding program, and modern day Berlin. I don’t know if it’s true but very believable. It’s amazing how propaganda can influence people. Well written. Narration was very well done. I definitely recommend this book.

An enjoyable easy listening book

This was a moving story of the perseverance and dedication of one young lady to help a sister she never knew and the two of which were born during turbulent and difficult times.

I agree with all the other comments. Gripping, riveting, moving, difficult at times as we endure a taste of the complexities, terrors, horrors, inhumanity, and ultimate humanity of people who endured Nazi Germany and it's aftermath. Very unique and informative historical fiction, isn't miss this one!

Unusual story that was very interesting and well narrated.

I enjoyed learning about a part of wwII that I hadn't known much about. It was very interesting. The narrator did a great job with each of the characters.

Overall story was good. Felt a bit drawn out in parts, but kept coming back to find out what happens next. The narrator was excellent!

I really appreciate hearing what life was like for those who were “left behind” during WWII after the Jews were rounded up. It was a very sad story, but enlightening because I was unaware how horrible life was in France during the occupation. The book was excellently written, the narrator, very, very good. This is a book I will be reading again.
