I'm a huge fan of Preston & Child but this story was lacking. They filled many of the pages with excruciating detail and drivel that added nothing to the flow of the story. It was short periods of interesting plot and dialogue scenes linked by long sections of uninteresting and irrelevant details. By the end of the book I was just getting impatient for the generally anti-climactic ending
Entertaining. good story line keeps the listener involved.
I liked the new character, Gideon Crew and look forward to the next novel.
I'm a huge fan of Child and Preston and have read all of the Agent Pendergast series. This one is just okay. All of the excitement is there, though it's a little "campy" -- and I didn't like the reader's inflection with the story.
