Unabridged Audiobook
F’k’n brilliant. I absolutely love the authors accent. Beyond that; the author sounds like she’s writing herself as the main character and she’s earthy, honest, borderline socially inappropriate and damn funny. The entire cast of characters feel very real. And while the plot is essentially a ghost story presented as a mystery, it’s constructed in a manner that feels oddly plausible, it’s a fantasy premise solidly grounded in modern British reality. It’s one of the best in the cozy mystery genre.
