Unabridged Audiobook
This is not a typical fantasy book full of action and magic. This is a fantasy book focusing on court politics and interpersonal diplomacy. I found a lot of the names were unique and hard to remember, so I lost track of the characters. Although it is not what I expected, the author does a great job with navigating the dialogue and relationships, and the narrator is excellent for the focus of the book. I wondered if I would finish listening to the audiobook once my expectations were dashed, however I found myself wanting to find out what happens to the main character.
