out of the whole series, I think this one was the best. I love the chemistry between them. the story had me wide eyed, crying, and laughing.

This book was top notch. Narration couldn’t have been better. I will definitely listen again. Of the series, I HAD TO listen to it. It’s my favorite of the 6, next to Malice

I didn’t think I liked Teddy Hamilton before I experienced him as Niko. I’ve read it twice then got the audiobook and I still kick my feet all the way through. Niko is hilarious and chaotic and foils Bran so nicely. I’ve seen other people call him a “golden retriever” but I feel like he’s more of a big goofy doberman. Kinda scary. Kind of a big sweet overgrown baby. Clearly he’s my favorite but only because I identify so closely to Bran. His trauma and how he dealt with it was painfully familiar and believable. Just everything about this book has earned it a space close to my heart. It’s probably my favorite Rina Kent book and I really need her to write more queer characters (sapphic ones next, Rina - pretty pleaaaaaase)!
