Unabridged Audiobook
Heartbreaking story, far from a relaxing holiday read. Its full of family drama and tragedy. Rich in modern Greek history, I had no idea about the events in Greece after the WWII. Mira Dovreni is a fabulous narrator, 10/10.
It got off to a little bit of a confusing slow start. But 30 min in it picks up and it starts to come together and is a lovely story about mothers and daughters and miss communication and lost and the ever enduring love a mothers have for their daughter. Highly recommend…. But I did cry at the end.
I struggled a little in the beginning and put this audiobook aside a few times. I’m very glad I eventually got over that hump, because it turned out to be a great book. Sometimes you just have to push through the slow start.
Beautiful book. Start is slow (30 min or so) but after it gets really engaging.
Great story with good narration
