I loved it! Clever writing that was funny and heartwarming. I liked the development of the characters and the story line being based in Idaho. Nice to listen to a romance without explicit language or sex scenes!! Well done Brittany ! I will be recommending it to all of my family, friends and book club.

The Grumpy Side of Paradise by Brittany Larsen is a classic grumpy/sunshine rom-com fixer upper story with the most lovable characters and adorable little town ever! This is the first book in the Love in Paradise Valley series. Evie gets hired by Georgia to help remodel a home in Paradise Valley as a trial run before giving them a larger contract. Evie meets resistance from Adam who not only is the contractor over the job but he runs several different businesses in the small community, so he’s pretty hard to avoid and with the way her heart beats when she sees him she begins to wonder why she tries. I really enjoyed this book from beginning to end, the writing is smooth and well paced. I smiled and laughed at many parts and found the characters to be relatable and interesting. The whole Thomsen family seems so nice because they pull together to help each other out no matter what. I laughed so hard about the little dog named Rosie because I have a dog named Rosie and she can be quite challenging at times but sweet! I read this book as well as listened to the audiobook. The narrators were Angie Hickman and Dane Anderson and they told the story wonderfully, holding my attention throughout the book. I recommend this sweet kisses fixer upper rom-com with a HEA!
