Gun Smoke at Prairie Bend: A Classic Western

Prairie Bend is the kind of place most riders pass without stopping.

A lonely cabin. A crooked stretch of river. A handful of settlers trying to scratch a living out of hard ground and stubborn weather.

But someone wants the valley empty.

When drifting cowhand Cole Ransom and his trail partner Jed Fallon ride over the ridge, they find fear hanging over the settlement like a storm cloud. A gang of hired gunmen has been riding the valley at night—burning fences, running off stock, and warning every homesteader to move on.

Most already have.

The last holdout is a stubborn ranch family at the bend of the river—and the outlaws are riding tonight to finish the job.

Ransom didn't come looking for trouble.

But when the dust settles at Prairie Bend, the valley will learn something the gunmen should have known from the start:

Two riders can be enough…

When they know how to use a six-gun.
