Unabridged Audiobook
Glad I "read" this. Don't worry, there is very little maths in this book, so don't be put off if that's not your thing. It's a fascinating and attention-grabbing biography of a remarkable man - teacher, experimenter and author, who was at the centre of an extraordinary intellectual empire in the late eighteenth/early nineteenth century. Prompts me to want to find out more about Joseph Banks and the "dissentions" in the Royal Society - basically, a philosophical punch-up between botanists and mathematicians.
