Unabridged Audiobook
Solid overview of the Hapsburgs and their rule. Perhaps not the most imaginative storytelling or conclusions, but the research appears well done and the reporting refreshingly neutral. I am curiois about the author's apparant dislike and dismissal of Empress Elisabeth (Sisi). He was also weirdly pro-Franz Josef, which is perhaps the boldest stance of the book.
Very interesting perspectives. Ambitious scope sometimes left me wanting more on several topics. Enjoyed immensely.
