Unabridged Audiobook
Great book. Didn’t want it to end.
Such a fun book.
It became incredibly boring. I almost didn’t finish. I only carried on because it’s an audiobook so I just worked and listened.
It was the perfect story- nothing went wrong at all, ever. Ridge was obsessed with Addison, almost to a point that I wanted some drama lol. Nope. None. No miscommunication, no over stating the inner monologue, everyone got along and accepted Addison. Definitely different from the usual romance outline and I appreciated the diversion from the anticipated standard.
Ridge and Addison met at a strip club. Ridge is attending a Bachelor party and he sees Addison on stage across the room and he is instantly attracted to her. They spend a night together and then Addison take Ridges number and decides she can’t fall into a relationship right now because her life is too up in the air complicated by the fact that she is now stripping to make ends meet. Ridge is drawn to Addison and he is upset that he cannot contact her but when he runs into her again in the most unexpected place, he decides he won’t take no for an answer. I liked this book. It has all the age gap, single billionaire hot single dad vibes you can handle. While I didn’t understand Addison, she risked a lot for something that seemed silly once she started falling in love with Ridge. I did get the “wanting to do it on her own” mentality. What’s great about Ridge is that even though he could fix her issues without making a sweat he knew she wouldn’t let him so he went about making it safer for her to do what she needed to do. This Audio was a great listen. The narrators brought the story to life in a way that pulled you into the story. I loved Addison and Ridge together. If you want a steamy listen with a billionaire hot dad and a stubborn teacher this is the listen for you.
I cannot say enough how much I love the Spade Hotel series; each book is better than the last in the best way! The Heartbreaker is no exception. I spent the majority of my time with this book just waiting in beautiful anticipation of what was next to come. Marni Mann has a way of captivating me as a reader telling a beautifully unique story with each book she writes. All of that said, Ridge and Addison might just be my favorite couple that she has written. I loved listening to their connection, their communication, and their chemistry so much. Their infatuation-at-first-sight dynamic was off the charts! I just knew when their paths first crossed while he was at a bachelor party that there was going to be a *GASP* reintroduction and I was so obsessed when it happened! Ridge is the single dad of my dreams when it comes to a MMC. His relationship with Daisy is so swoony and I love the maturity of his coparenting relationship. It just set him and Addison up for an incredible love story. He takes the time to woo her and takes care of her exactly how she needs him too...even if she is a fiercely independent FMC!Other factors of the story I love: Age gap, billionaire (of course!), and some forced proximity moments. I am all in on their story!
ALC Review The Heartbreaker by Marni Mann Spade Hotel - Book 4 If you want a low drama, high heat book, this could be a perfect read for you. There was a lot of push and pull, but not in a angsty way. It was beautiful to see how Addison loved Ridge's daughter with all of her heart. The narrators, Connor Crais & Savannah Peachwood, are an absolute dream team. Connor brings the alpha male energy but possesses the ability to be the soft and caring father Ridge is. Savannah brought the sass and energy to portray the mesmerizing Addison. Pick this one up if you enjoy: * Billionaire * Forbidden romance * Single dad * Teacher that moonlights as a stripper * Small age gap * Taylor Swift fan-girling
Be still my heart! This single dad, forbidden romance packs an arrow straight to my heart! Single dad, Ridge Cole acts on his attraction at a strip club, as red haired Addy is dancing. She is new to the club, but there is something about her that has his heart already caught. Imagine both their surprises when she turns out to be his daughter's first grade teacher! Marni Mann masterfully plays with my heart as these two work to find their way to love. It's forbidden, it's spicy, it's sweet. it's secret, and it's fantastic! I loved their story! Bringing it to life is Connor Crais and Savannah Peachwood! What a team! Crais is so swoony as Ridge, and his moments with his daughter are priceless. Addy is a tough woman, trying her best, and falling in love. Peachwood captures each emotion perfectly. I enjoyed this narration and recommend it if you love a fun romance.
