I hadn’t guessed who the actual culprit was, so in that way it was a good mystery. The metaphors and similes were mostly good, although I got a little tired of them by the end of the book. Mostly the story was predictable, except, as I said, the ending was surprising. I gave the narration three stars because it is better than a lot of the synthesized voices that I’ve heard on audiobooks. At least there was some expression and very little mispronunciation. However, in some parts there seemed to be a small segment of the usual AI chatter. I don’t plan to purchase any more books by this author.

Certainly had to know the names of the different teas

Why isn’t it someone’s job to listen to the AI read? If they did they would catch all the small words it mispronounced. The AI reading is so bad on all the books that are free.

Story was kind of good but pretty predictable. The tea puns got boring really quickly. Not having a human being as a narrator did not help the story with several words pronounced wrong which I found irratating. I have listened to other books where the narrator changes voices, adds accents and pauses that make listening very enjoyable. Only listened to whole book because I was cleaning out the garage and it did not matter if I missed sections. As I said very predictable.

Great Story

There are so many lame tea brewing puns in the narration that the story gets lost. One pun may be clever, but dozens of times in one half hour span got old fast.

some very repetitive language likely due to use of AI i guess but nonetheless an entertaining cozy mystery. good premise and nice pace. would definitely listen to the next one. narrator what can I say it's a synthesised narrator and there are couple of places where it goes pear-shaped because no one checked it but otherwise it's easy to listen to
