Short but still suspenseful with a twist. The plot was plausible and enjoyable. Using unexpected means by which her husband unwittingly agreed, Delight achieved her two main goals.

this is an entertaining short story, it starts off a bit slow and talky but push through the first intro because it races along after that. quite unexpected. well written and I will be looking for another by Anna Katharine Green narrators was just right for the story setting, the heroin's character and nice to listen to. one of those voices that you don't really hear as you listen if you understand my meaning.

The ending was a surprise and showed what can be the result of humility, forgiveness, and love. The last line of chapter 6 is wonderful! It was great that the husband and wife both were shown as flawed characters. The themes of greed, desire, self-sacrifice, forgiveness, and love made a strong impression in such a short work.

Great narrator. Good, suspenseful story.

Love conquers all…good old fashioned romance! Narrator was perfect for this one.
