Unabridged Audiobook
I enjoyed this story. It is a little different than what I normally read, but I think that\'s why I liked it more.
why are the men all badly written, uncompelling neanderthals? every other line from a man's perspective is about how he wants to **ck someone or about his **ck. the female protagonist on the other hand is much more relatable, with more reasonable thought processes as she tries to navigate life and it's challenges (some admittedly predictable and cliché, but they serve to build sympathy for the character). kind of found myself rolling my eyes and wanting to skip ahead whenever I heard a man's voice say "chapter ##: Terry". there are some "50 shades" logic moments where any normal person would see red flags in such controlling behaviour and run a mile, but Maggie doesn't, she just takes it stride. you had self respect and common sense a chapter ago, love! what the hell happened!? I found the female narrator much easier to listen to, but to be fair to her colleague, that might have been down to the quality of the material they were respectively working with. grievances aside, I was actually invested enough that I was compelled to keep listening until the end. maybe that says more about me than the book.
Loved this so much I had to get the rest of the series a listen!
Good listen. The switch between narrators caught me off guard but overall good story
I truly enjoyed listening to this book. Both narrators did a great job
