A History of Ancient Israel: Audio Lectures traces God’s covenant people from Abraham through the exodus, conquest, monarchy, exile, and return. Grisanti and Bolen bring the biblical record into conversation with historical research, archaeological discoveries, and the geography of the land, showing how the events of the Old Testament fit within the context of the ancient Near Eastern world. Drawing together a vast body of evidence, this up-to-date survey explains what happened, why it matters, and how key questions and long-standing debates should be understood.

Thoughtful, thorough, and accessible, A History of Ancient Israel: Audio Lectures gives students, pastors, and serious Bible readers a reliable guide to Israel’s history, helping them gain a clearer grasp of the world, storyline, and message of the Old Testament for teaching, study, and deeper biblical understanding.
