Andy Serkis does a FANTASTIC job narrating. He is smooth, very expressive, and his voices for the characters are awesome! The story, well… it’s Tolkien!! Need I say more??

Unreal talent

Loved it! I first read the Hobbit as a youth. I also m listened to it narrated by another. This narration was amazing.

Andy Serkis did such an amazing job. I loved all of the different voices he did. he captured them all so well. I also got super excited when he was reading the part for gollum. Hearing him do the character in something "new" filled me with joy.

It make me won’t to find out what he does

I was completely unfamiliar with Tolkien until listening to this book. The story of The Hobbit is exciting, funny, and heart-warming. I wanted an unabridged version and was sold when I saw Andy Serkis listed as narrator. He does an incredible job bringing all the characters to life! I am looking forward to continuing into his narration of The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Listen to this version, you won't be disappointed!

Fantastic tale of an epic adventure, and truly there could be no better narrator than Andy Serkis!

The narrator is perfectly creepy and dramatic. I imagine JRR Tolkien told his son's the story just like this author reads it! Perfection!
