There could be no better narrator!
Andy Serkis nails it flawlessly by giving each character it's own unique voice. Bilbo sounds like Martin Freeman, Gandalf like Sir Ian McKellen and even the King of Mirkwood, Thranduil sounds like Lee Pace to me :D Not to mention the episode with Gollum/Sméagol which is splendid. If you loved the movies (LOTR or Hobbit), this is the definitive "book" edition for you.
I can't wait for his Narration of the Lord of the Rings to come out this month. Andy Serkis has such a wonderful mastery of storytelling.
