Unabridged Audiobook
Loved this book and the narrator is awesome as well
This book gave me everything - from joy to tears and back. There are so many things I love about the book - I want to point out two: - the not-subtle but also not dominantly present queerness. Though the lesbian side-note feels a bit squeezed in, I can enjoy the effort, especially when the main gay story is so gentle and beautiful - I have a feeling that the author has a lot of insight to the care system - and not once, throughout there whole book - the kids have to prove themselves, show 'good behavior' or need to take on adult responsibilities, which is a breath of fresh air among all the resilence-fetish stories around kids in care. I could have done with a little less fat-(self)shaming, but all in all this is a magical book. Loved it!
Really nice book with a heart warming story. At first I thought the narrator was a touch robotic but he turned out to be really good and you could quite quickly notice the different characters. would recommend
