Unabridged Audiobook
The narrator is SO dramatic & whiney, but it’s a great story
I am a HUGE Sarah Pekkanen fan, so I was surprised that I really did not enjoy this book. I felt the plot was weak, and it took way too long to get to the only part where things actually picked up, which was the very last few chapters (about one hour of audiobook time, played at 1.3x). Also it was very far fetched and not believable. Like, you really have to set aside any expectations of any of this being able to happen in real life. I normally don’t ever dislike or complain about narrators, but this one really got on my nerves. For one thing, she sounds way too old to be a 35 year old woman. Secondly, she is dzhyqa So maybe I would have liked this book a bit better if it was in aprint L
The narrator was so overly dramatic that it ruined it for me. I couldn't finish it.
This was a really good read. They did a good job keeping the suspense high so we were surprised to find out what was really going on in the end!
The book was entertaining enough but not one of my favorites. The narrator was over the top with her melodramatic inflections. It was like nails on a chalkboard.
Loved this book!!!
