This book is just ok. A little schmaltzy. The narrator can be annoying. She can’t do mens voices without making them sound like idiots. Men can be idiots, but not all deserve that portrayal off the bat. The book was free, so it was worth it, but don’t pay for it, or use a credit.

This book was a VIP reward. I have mixed feelings about it. The story was ok but the characters sounded decades older than they were which took away from the story I think. Overall, not a bad listen.

This was from the VIP list and it was an okay read. It was a little bit like a lifetime television show. Things generally worked out in the end for all of the characters. Narration was adequate for the female voices.

I loved this book. The narrator had different voices for each character, all of whom were developed well as the story unfolded. Believable characters and plot. Recommend!

Love Robyn Carr’s stories. I had read this one years ago but it was nice to revisit these ladies. I especially enjoyed this narrator’s vocal acting chops, particularly with Ellie’s deep voice, from years of smoking, Beth’s shy, innocent ways, and Gabby’s southern mama, reminiscent of genteel Atlanta and shades of Miss Scarlet O’Hara in her later years. You could just picture these women by how she spoke! She did a great job with all the characters.

I did like the story line of this book…just not a fan of some of the language that was used. Clean some of that up and it would bump up another star .

Loved this book! The story is something any woman could relate to and the ending was satisfying. This was my first Robyn Carr's book and surely won't be the last. I'm looking forward to listening to more of her books. What a delightful and heartwarming story!

Tearfully I just listened to the end. Happy tears. Wonderfully written, beautifully read, the story of four women and a fifth added, who come together after their good friend dies. Amazing how a death can trigger so much change. Be such a catalyst in opening up. A wonderful story of true friendship, of opening up and becoming. I enjoyed every listening minute.
