Unabridged Audiobook
I could not stop listening. The first book I thought was better, but I still enjoyed this one. I love the narrator having a Brooklyn accent
Loved the whole story, didn’t want to stop reading.
Very easy to listen to
woooow!! this was a good book, I immediately had to download another by this author:)
I didn't like it quite as much as tge first one but it was still good.
Lived the thriller but figured out the end
I loved it!
Ireally enjoyed listening to this audiobook, it kept me interested the whole time.
Freida McFadden never disappoints! All the twists and turns you expect, and then some!
Wonderful reading
I’ve read other books by Freida McFadden that I enjoyed very much. Unfortunately, this was not one of them. I thought the book was very slow, with some of it seeming a bit far-fetched. I rarely choose not to finish a book, but I didn’t finish this one because the storyline dragged was not a page-turner for me. I listened to about 60% of it, hoping to become engaged by it, but I never did. I did find it interesting enough to find out how it ended with a quick Google search. I do not recommend.
Excellent follow up to The Housemaid!
Love this series so glad I read the books before the movie
It’s a page-turner
I loved the book, she is such a good writer. The narration not so much, maybe I didn't pay attention to Millie having a Brooklyn accent, but for some reason I couldn't get past it!
Did not expect that twist 10/10
Loved all the twists! This was excellent!
A brilliant book from start to finish. Didn't want it to end.
Enjoyed listening to. Makes you stop and think twice about people.
"The Housemaid's Secret" is one of those psychological thrillers that completely pulls you in and refuses to let go. From the very beginning, there’s a constant sense of tension and unease, as if something is always about to go wrong—and when it does, it hits harder than expected. What I found most impressive is how the story plays with your mind. Just when you think you understand the characters or predict what’s coming next, the narrative shifts and proves you wrong. The twists aren’t just surprising—they feel earned and carefully built up. The atmosphere is dark and claustrophobic, especially within the house itself, which almost feels like a character with its own secrets. Every detail adds to the suspense, making it impossible to stop listening. If I had to point out a flaw, it would be that some moments feel a bit too intense or dramatic, but honestly, that’s part of what makes it so addictive. Overall, this is a gripping, fast-paced thriller with shocking twists and a story that stays in your head long after it ends. Definitely a must-read for fans of psychological suspense.
Kept me listening, great book and twiets
Great, maybe better than the first
I loved this book, not as much as the first one but still a good read. I couldn’t stop listening it was so good
This was an awesome book.
outstanding
Great story and narrator
Excellent read. Kept me intrigued & second guessing. I'd gone off McFadden for a while but this book has me hooked again.
Good
Liked it. Not as much as the first one, but how many interest in the narrator was good.
I enjoy listening to this narrator.
Great twist and turns. A good book to listen to you while you're on the road traveling. Just enough fun to keep you interested and focused on your driving.
Great listen!
It was awesome!
Loved the story
Great sequel. Easy listen. I would recommend.
Very good book. Lots of turns and twists
Couldn’t stop listening to
Not the best
Had to read the sequel! It was the ok. There were parts that I thought could have gone a different direction.
Often times the second book is in no way as good as the first book, but I swear this follow up to The Housemaid did not disappoint!!! I didn't think that this one would be able to have as good of a twist as the first book, but it may have been better!!!! Yeah it's official I'm gonna but the next two books even if the next one is only a little over an hour of a read!
Loved the book.
Absolutely loved it
Amazing
Not as good as the first one. The reference to “my boyfriend “ was so annoying - the reader knew who Brock was! If anything, it highlighted the immaturity of the main character, Millie. I don’t think I’ll be reading another.
Surprise surprise love the twist
Love the mystery suspense and narrators voice and pitches
I truly loved the first book, but sadly, this one fell short and was quite predictable. I had high hopes for this book, but it felt like a mere replica of the first. Millie's character was a letdown for me, and I honestly couldn't grasp the purpose of Broccoli, or rather Brock. He seemed like a pointless character. I'm really uncertain if I will continue with this series.
Love this whole series!
So good! Not exactly what I suspected. I want to hear more in detail how Millie helped other women in between the first book and this one. Instead it was more of a next chapter in her life.
Very good - I enjoyed the book very much.
Easy to listen to. Kept reader interested! Narrator was great!
I love all the twists and turns!
Another brilliant read - similar format to the first in the series but a great twist at the end
A good story with an interesting plot twist.
Another gripping read! Freida is so good at shifting direction and making you question everyone in the book! I loved it. The only reason I gave it a 4(.5) rather than a 5 is because I preferred the first book in the series (just).
The main character so darn naive. I feel so sorry for her boyfriend, both of them. That being said, I did finish the book with a bit of fast forwarding in the latter part of the book. The Bronx accent spoooo irritating. Very juvenile book.
Not as good as the first Housemaid but still good.
