Unabridged Audiobook
I would have loved some scientific speculation on possible solutions to the problems so adequately described. The book left me wanting, if not at unease about our future.
Highly recommended. A thorough but also simplified/relatable look at the world and challenges we face in changing our reliance on fossil fuels. Well written and helps you focus on 4 key demands across the world
to get the numbers is important but i see it that smil is not able to upscale the alredy beginning transforming changes to often he seems to be deillusionised to often he picks the most negative things he says children have to dig for cobalt for BEV what he completely ignores is the europe lieferkettengesetz what he completely ignores is the disrupting changes already going on he picks again the most negative point about the huge ship engines he points out that tomatoes from spain transported through the whole european union habe a worse co2 emission than meat yeah propable but we in germany eat already locally sourced tomatoes and we already have 50% of our electricity renewable maybe it is gis age or his childhood but he completely ignores how far we alreedy have come another fact he completely ignores is that the software is now completely integrated into the real life and we have people like musk/bezos who know hoe to upscale fast and how to transform fast no one can see into the future neither me nor smil but i am totally positive that we will manage he is (imho) not....
