How to Save a Library

Casey is tired of always being the new kid at school. His dad calls moving an adventure, but Casey thinks it’s just lonely. Now, living in The Gates, Casey finally feels settled—that is until the library, and his dad’s job, seems to be threatened.




Casey’s life has been boxed up and shipped to a new city more times than he can count. His dad thinks moving is an adventure, but Casey is so over the adventure. In The Gates, Casey life finally feels stable. His talent on the soccer field has made him a natural fit with the popular kids and he loves his apartment.




But when Casey discovers the local library, where his dad works, is in need of extensive and expensive repairs, he decides to join the Kids Community Action Network (C.A.N.) competition to help raise money to save it. Addison—a former friend turned not-so-friend—reluctantly agrees to let Casey join.
