Unabridged Audiobook
Very easy listen, the plot twist at the end i honestly didnt see coming.
This was the first book by J A Andrews that I’d listened to and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The characters came to life and the story was gripping. The sad moments were deep and thoughtful rather than bleak which generated interest. I look forward to finding her other books. The narrator performed beautifully, bringing this novel to life. I absolutely recommend this book.
I enjoyed this book. I eagerly waited for my daily walks so I could listen to it. I just wish the narrators voices were more suited to the characters but I find this with all audio books and all narrators. I wonder where they get them from ...
I thoroughly enjoyed this and it had me gripped until the end. I think the thing that captured my attention most is how each of the different characters hold such strong views about how their version of events is correct and how they each can honestly justify their actions. I loved hearing all of the different English accents too. The language, although hard to hear sometimes, captured the characters perfectly. Really well written. Will be grabbing another book very soon.
The story was interesting. However I felt the author rehashed all of the main characters' thoughts over and over to ad nauseum, so much so that I believe she could have shortened the story by a third and we still would have known and understood the psychological trauma Lucy and Josh had undergone as children and the far reaching effects it had in their adult lives. Otherwise, I enjoyed trying to figure out who did what and why throughout the telling of the story. The narration of the story was nice also.
Good Read
Good book with a great twist at the end
This book, while interest, was a bit drawn out and confusing.
