Unabridged Audiobook
This book collects 15 short stories, all of which are speculative fiction in a Black Mirror-esque style (our world but not quite, with notes of horror and sci-fi, and a focus on technology). The stories use that lens to push and probe into the human psyche, with poignant and real emotion being the backbone and heart of each. The result is a very well-written, powerful collection that also really makes one think. Was moved to tears a couple of times. My favourites: How They Got In, Backwards, The Drawings, Portals, The Knockoffs. Narrators were also all excellent and really drew me in.
Ah…..NO!! Narrators YES!
Ah, it was ok. I wish I would have had the chance to select this read from the FREE VIP titles. If I would have known, I wouldn’t have used a credit. I’d say 1/2 the titles were interesting and the other 1/2 were just meh. I enjoyed the short story format and the quick progression of the stories kept me somewhat engaged. They were certainly on par with the series Black Mirror! The narrators were all spectacular!!
Love this it's amazing
amazing book, really enjoyed. thought provoking and emotional, the writing grabbed me and didn't let go.
The concepts are interesting, but they feel incomplete. They have a well developed beginning and suddenly they end. A book that says a lot but does not really reach a message, though it clearly means to.
A bunch of short stories, most where terrible . Wasted time.
