Unabridged Audiobook
I enjoyed the story, a little too much religious content for me
I really enjoyed this. The story of two lifelong friends from different social casts before, during and after WW2. Great story.
Awesome book.
I enjoyed the book until the huge plot hole hit and I stopped reading because I couldn't get past it. When Audrey shows up at her in-laws and Eve is so entitled to having stolen her identity, and Audrey just lets it go... Puh-lease! Even if later in the book they work through it, this was too odd for me to keep reading. It just didn't fit. Up until this point I loved the book.
this was a fantastic audiobook. the narrator was amazing and it had enough twists and turns to easily follow but not be boring! very much enjoyed!!
Great story about the London blitz. A bit heavy on the religion and heart throbs
I read a lot of WWII era historical fiction. This book stands out for a few reasons. The reality of what was actually happening to all classes of people, the relatable characters, and the skill at pulling the reader back and forth in time. The narrator was excellent as she was able to capture male voice, children and diminished accents without being annoying. This isn’t typical. Great book all around.
Good story!! You won't be disappointed.
A so-realistic portrayal of life in London during the Blitz; brought the fear, the horror, the courage into vivid color. Added benefit? Hearing the story from both sides of the experience: aristocrat and commoner. Highly recommended
