I've spent years simply trying to disappear. Don't make waves. Don't be too loud. It's the only way I know how to survive in this cruel, loveless marriage. I never let myself believe there could be a way out, not until he set foot on my property.



He was only meant to be here to help train one of the horses on this ranch and then leave, but Silas Knight can't see a problem and walk away from it. I tried to pretend I was okay, that I didn't need help, but that all comes tumbling down when I'm left with no choice but to run. And there's only one place I can go: Knight Falls Ranch.

I just need time and a place to get myself back on my feet, and Silas offers that and more.
