Ashton acts like he won the case. Baez stinks, he won every motion, he’s so amazing. Yet the deliberation took 90 minutes and he lost. He’s so arrogant and his antics in the courtroom went a long way to losing the jury imo. I listened to this hoping for some insightful and reflective analysis of the decision. Instead, all he does is boast and blame the jury. Ashton got pantsed by a noob lawyer with a client who did nothing but lie according to him and his conclusion? Wow, I’m awesome! Unless you’re into boasting and blaming others, I’d save your money and time and skip this one.

Great book. Seemed to lose me at times, but all in all, it was well done.

A good listen. I never understood that verdict until I read this book. Even though the author tries to blame the jury for being 'uneducated' the prosecution simply didn't prove their case. Too bad because it's obvious she had a huge part in her daughters death.
