Unabridged Audiobook
excellent
As someone who who loves to learn about the WWII, I enjoyed it. But...it was a dry read.
This is a well written account of mostly pre, and some post WWII Germany. It outlines what can happen in great detail to God fearing intelligent people swept up in a "new era", a "new regime". Throw in the true life account of a U.S. ambassador and his family which in itself is story and you have a very good book. These atrocities didn't happen that long ago. Could it happen again?
Interesting and informative IF you can bring yourself to overlook the monotonous, sing-song delivery of the narrator. Stephen Hoye I believe is his name. I will never read another book narrated by him!
