The Incredible Adventures of Casper the Cat Who Got Lost in Africa: Book 8: The Warthogs

This audiobook is narrated by a digital voice.

A promise to a friend. A thirsty family. Hyenas on the trail.

Book 8: The Warthogs

Wigbert the warthog once saved Casper’s life. Now his wife is gravely ill, their four piglets are frightened and their waterhole has dried to cracked mud. Casper cannot leave them behind.

With a big-hearted vulture, a mischievous drongo and a chattering mob of mongooses, she sets out to help the family find water. But a pack of hyenas has caught the scent of a warthog too weak to run.

Casper’s best hope may be a herd of bad-tempered buffalo. Can she persuade them that somebody else’s trouble matters before the hyenas catch up?

A suspenseful, deeply heartfelt adventure about keeping promises, caring for those who are vulnerable and standing beside friends when they need you most.

An adventure to share and listen to together

For children aged 5–10, these stories are made for listening together, at bedtime, on car journeys or anywhere in between. Share Casper’s mishaps, worry with her when things go wrong, and cheer her on as she finds her courage. There is room for laughter, a few tears and the kind of conversation that continues after the story ends.
