Summary
A NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

A Daily Mail Book of the Year. A Mail on Sunday Book of the Year.

Famed American actress Demi Moore at last tells her own story in a surprisingly intimate and emotionally charged memoir.

For decades, Demi Moore has been synonymous with celebrity. From iconic film roles to high-profile relationships, Moore has never been far from the spotlight – or the headlines.

Even as Demi was becoming the highest paid actress in Hollywood, however, she was always outrunning her past, just one step ahead of the doubts and insecurities that defined her childhood. Throughout her rise to fame and during some of the most pivotal moments of her life, Demi battled addiction, body image issues, and childhood trauma that would follow her for years – all while juggling a skyrocketing career and at times negative public perception.  As her success grew, Demi found herself questioning if she belonged in Hollywood, if she was a good mother, a good actress – and, always, if she was simply good enough.

As much as her story is about adversity, it is also about tremendous resilience. In this deeply candid and reflective memoir, Demi pulls back the curtain and opens up about her career and personal life – laying bare her tumultuous relationship with her mother, her marriages, her struggles balancing stardom with raising a family, and her journey toward open heartedness. Inside Out is a story of survival, success, and surrender – a wrenchingly honest portrayal of one woman’s at once ordinary and iconic life.

I was really glad that Demi voiced her own book. It completely enhanced the experience of listening to it because I felt like she was telling me the story. And she was! Demi goes for it and shares and bares a lot. Once she goes “off the wagon” with and for Ashton, the relapse sends her into a tailspin of sexual immorality and booze. Demi - a threesome is sexual immorality. So while Ashton cheated one you - you opened Pandora’s box in your marriage. I give it four stars because at the end she goes on about “why” she “ended up this way.” She completely minimizes the experience with Rumor and the intensity of the nitrous and “spice” combination that caused her to go unconscious. Honestly - Demi - if you are really being truthful with yourself - you should have known better (and you did and chose to ignore it) by this time in your life. People have died from smoking spice. You never know what it is laced with. That said - I grew up watching and loving Demi Moore movies and her story gave me full insight into just how much she had to overcome. while it’s whiny at the end, she comes to a full self realization of who she is and why she is here. I applaud you Demi for your bravery in writing your memoir and hope it helps others to overcome abusive pasts.

Listen to it if you are a fan of Demi Moore, you might realise that even celebrities are pretty much like us .Everyone is simply seeking for simple pleasures like love ,support and family. The truth is being rich doesn’t fix everything if you are broken inside .I am glad Demi found closure in writing this book .A beautiful bittersweet reminder how we could all be pretty and rich and yet we are always vulnerable to our feelings of love and self acceptance.
