Unabridged Audiobook
Remarkable book.
I thought at times the feelings and attitudes both personally of the characters and the protagonist were sometimes harsh. But it was real, but at times a difficult read. As a Jew, who has lived in Israel, but has traveled throughout the Middle East and very knowledgeable in its history and politics. It was well done. Just difficult. The narrator was excellent.
Loved it. It’s left me feeling I have more insight into what is happening in Palestine.
It takes an exceptional author to make you love AND hate the personality traits of the same character, yet I found myself teetering on the brink of both. The results of trauma over time were well written. Well done.
not my favorite
I enjoyed the audio book. Got a little lost in the beginning, though was quickly draw in and couldn’t stop listening till the end. Paints an interesting picture to the Isreal and Palestine conflict from the perspective of a couple and how staying together and raising a family outside of their cultures and beliefs was somewhat challenging
I enjoyed the book and the subject matter was very relevant to today conflicts. A novel was an interesting way to look at the history and the situation that the Middle East finds its self in today. Definitely worth the credit. I enjoyed the narrator.
Beautiful and captivating story, talented narrator.
A complex story, beautifully told and narrated, that brings to light some of the history and conflicts of this region.
The story line was unconvincing and the readers accenting was totally poor and irritating
