Good book. Great narration.
a fun fact about this book is that Cargo Cults actually exist in areas of new guinea, and there is a figure called " John Frum " that many cargo cults consider a god, some theorize, the name comes from " john from america ", as the cargo cults were a product of american soldiers landing on the small islands during world war 2. Christopher Moore must do great research for his books, I love the real world tie -in's, like the emperor of san francisco.
I really enjoyed this book. Christopher Moore is well known for his outspoken views on society's flaws and injustices. In this book, the good guys won all around, but in a normal ending for normal people.
A very entertaining tale, tickles your imagination! I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Completely improbably, but so funny. Endearing characters, unlikely heroes and an exciting ending. Hilariously narrated by Oliver Wyman.

Christopher Moore is magical. I love his characters, his fantasy, and his stories. Only one of his books has disappointed me, and I truly believe it was the narrator's fault.
