Unabridged Audiobook
One of the bests reads!
Slow but interesting
Loved the story and the narrator was fantastic!
The narrator did a fantastic job, narrating the book and the women. However, when it comes to the men, she makes each and every one of them sound, snobby, condescending, and like real Buttheads. I don’t know if that was on purpose but if so kudos because it worked lol. I hated every single one of the men. Even Auguste.
I was really blown away by this story, I grew up in Canada and have never heard it before
Great
Excellent book. The narrator was absolutely wonderful. I could listen to her always. The hook was intriguing suspenseful and lovely. I will listen again. Wish I could give this 10 stars!!
This ended up being a captivating story. Wish it had had a little more info about how life was in the 1500s. The narrator was great for Marguerite’s voice, but anytime she voiced any male characters, I found it was jarring, screechy, and horrible.
Honestly, one of the best books I've read, the fact that this a true story made it a remarkable tale. You will not be disappointed. I'm very impressed with the ability of the Narrator to distinguish between the characters so well, impressive and made the characters come alive. The life the woman lived was unbelievable, what she lived through was beyond challenging. Buy it and enjoy
Stirring tale of hardship, adventure and betrayal in which a young woman prevails and is rewarded for her courage and devotion. Excellently narrated
