When young William falls seriously ill and is confined to his bedroom for months, the world feels smaller, quieter, and very far away. Lonely and frustrated, he begins to lose hope—until an unexpected visitor taps at his window.

Jack, a one-legged pigeon with a puffed chest and the swagger of a pint-sized pirate, arrives like a burst of feathers and mischief.
