exceptionally narrated, this is a classic for a reason and it is so interesting to listen to. I am male, 40s , found it riveting. I think there are hints of many popular fairytales in this book including Cinderella and definitely beuty and the beast. if you have not looked up the details about the author maybe you will get one more surprise if you listen first and research the author later.

Listening to Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte was a truly wonderful experience. It is a very long "listen" and to be sure there are some parts where I wished it would move along, but far outweighing that is the beautiful language and excellent reading by the narrator. It is hard to find this quality of writing today, chiefly because one word, these days, fits many. I was also surprised by the incredible insight into human emotions of the author. The characters all lived and were real. A great book.
